Darwin Estacio Martinez was born in 1982 in Manzanillo, Cuba. He studied art for 12 years and continued to deepen his studies in vocational art school for four years. He studied at the University of Arts in the city of Havana where he graduated and is now a professor there. He also teaches at the National School of Fine Arts, San Alejandro. Parallel to his studies and his academic career, he has led an intense career as an independent artist holding exhibitions inside and outside of Cuba, his work has been listed several times and his works are in private collections in and outside Cuba.
