FirstYouth at FUMC Oak Ridge

Hello FirstYouth!! Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Kelsey and I am the new youth director at FUMCOR. I’m so excited to be here and to meet many of you after fall break. We will be meeting next Sunday the 17th at 7p in the youth loft.

But I have a question for you all, I am shopping for curriculum and have some picked out. It’s a few different 4 week long studies. My question is, out of these 5 topics, which would you like to study most?

Prayer
Sin
Mission
Salvation
Bible.

There is also a specific one week study on Christmas that we can also do if there is interest.

Please let me know which you’d be most interested in starting with!!!

Did you leave your handprints on the wall? If anyone missed the chance (looking at you, pandemic classes of '20 and '21), make sure to save the date of our Youth Alumni Reunion Brunch! It will be at the church at 10am on December 24. There will be an opportunity for handprints for anyone who hasn't gotten to leave their mark yet.

Thanks to our awesome teams of volunteers, we have been able to start up our lunches again for ORHS students! All students with off-campus lunch are invited every Thursday. Tomorrow is ravioli and garlic toast day. 😋

It's a new school year and we are BACK AT IT! We are having some new furniture and decor come in, there's a new bulletin board setup, the snacks are refilled, and we are doubling down on fun and coziness. Hope to see you soon!

Pool Day on Sunday! Meet us at 1:00pm at the Oak Ridge pool. Free! Comment with your fav swimming pool game.

Sunday is hiking day! Meet us at the UT Arboretum to hike the loop there at 1:00pm. Bring a water bottle! Dads are invited.

See you this weekend for Sunday Cool, Week 2: Field Day! Let's throw water balloons at each other.

We are starting our Sunday Cool summer with a gaming day on Sunday! Hang out after church in the Loft. 7-12th graders welcome. Masks still required by FUMC protocol. Lunch provided (If you're coming, DM us with any dietary restrictions so we can feed you well).

Aw, snap! We wanted to party, but nature had other plans. No need to freeze ourselves today. Enjoy your weekend!
