The Friends of the Oak Ridge Public Library (FOL) is dedicated to providing support to the Oak Ridge Public Library.

The FOL was organized in 1959 to increase the opportunities for the association of persons interested in books and libraries; to increase the facilities and services of the Oak Ridge Public Library; and to enrich the cultural opportunities available to the citizens of the Oak Ridge area. We do this by selling books and other items several times a year at very low prices. We also have a Booknook in

Children's summer programs started today! 💚

Today was our first Oak Ridge Public Library Children's Summer Reading Program Event, and we welcomed an audience of 200 enthusiastic, energetic, and engaged kids and caregivers who enjoyed the magic and mayhem of Barry Mitchell. Some of Mr. Barry's most ardent fans even gave him gifts - a bag of giant marshmallows and ... wait.. Are those PICKLE BALLS! OH NO - PICKLES!

Do you love taking your kiddos the Summer Reading programs?

These programs are made possible by funding raised by FOL through book sales, membership fees, and donations. Please consider supporting FOL and library programs by becoming an FOL member or stopping by the Book Nook for some books this summer.

Join us for our Children's Summer Reading Program Events starting next week on Monday! Children's Summer Reading Program events will be held in the Conference Center, the Rec Center gym, and the library auditorium. We will put a sign on the library sidewalk directing you to each event.

No food or drink will be allowed in the performance venues.
Please enjoy your snacks outside before or after the program.

For more information on the individual events, please visit our website: https://orpl.oakridgetn.gov/summer-reading/childrens
