The Pilot Club of Oak Ridge

Please join us in remembering our past President and Past Governor of the Tennessee District Pilot International, Kathy Warren. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers. May her legacy of love and compassion continue to inspire us all each day. Services will be at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Receiving of Friends-10am to Noon
Service at Noon. Graveside Service at Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens at 1:30pm.

We had our 2026-2027 Club Officer Installation last night, conducted by Michelle McArthur. Michelle briefly told us about Pilot Internationals history before installing the following: Robert Burgess-President, Regina Surber-President Elect, Dena Yakley-Secretary, Sherry Bath-Treasurer, Angie Burgess-Director, Sharon Stratton-Director, and Mildred Beasley-Director. Our outgoing President Angie Burgess did a phenomenal job this year. We gave her with a beautiful painting for her music classroom at Saint Mary’s from the club. Our incoming President Robert Burgess’ theme for his incoming year is: With Joyful Hearts & Shared Laughter, Pilots Make Charitable Giving a True Act of Love.

We had a new member initiation ceremony formally welcoming Connie Rhinehart into the club.
Debby Hall presented, and highlighted Pilot International's mission of friendship and service, her oath of membership, and presented her with her official Pilot pin. Her sponsor, Dena Yakley, will guide Connie through her first year, learning everything about our club and Pilot International. Welcome Connie💛We are so happy you joined us to do more, care more and be more.

We received a Pick-Me-Up Grant from Pilot International. The recipients were the robotics club from Willow Brook Elementary School in Oak Ridge. We presented the check to them today. They’re so excited to get some much needed supplies for their team. We greatly enjoyed visiting with them & learning about all the great things they are doing. 

💚We had a BrainMinders Skit today at Saint Mary’s School in Oak Ridge with their second graders. Thanks so much for letting us come teach them about protecting their brains while wearing their helmets.

We had two showers this weekend for two of our Pilots. A baby shower for Savanna💗and a bridal shower for Rachel.🤍 Blessings to both family’s💛We love you!

We had our Spring Ridgeview Event on Saturday morning for seventeen special needs adults in group and transitional homes in Oak Ridge. We had so much fun playing bingo with lots of great prizes, a delicious lunch and dessert.
