REMINDER: Starting ๐๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐, ๐๐๐ป๐ฒ ๐ญ๐ฑ๐๐ต, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, the City of Oak Ridge Public Works Department and its contractor, Rogers Group, will begin a paving rehabilitation project on Providence Road. During construction and curing, Providence Road will be closed to through traffic and will have limited access for light-duty vehicles. The first part of the project will take about a week. The roadway will require three to seven days to cure. After it is cured, road markings will be done.
Drivers and residents are advised that no parking will be permitted along Providence Road, including at the main Outdoor Pool parking lot, during construction. To maintain safe access to the Oak Ridge Outdoor Pool, the City is installing a new sidewalk along the pool side of Providence Road between Robertsville Road and the pool entrance. Summer Camp is FINALLY here! After a full week of camp counselor training, the kids have arrived! We have about 100 kids divided into three age groups: The Littles, ages 6-8 years, The Bigs, ages 9-11 years, and the Teens, ages 12-15 years. These seven weeks will be a blast and will be over before we know it. This first week, the kids enjoyed Beauty/Dodgeball Day, the outdoor pool, the Knoxville Zoo, a movie at Tinseltown, and TopGolf.
