Secret City Dachshunds

After much thought, we’ve made the decision to close Secret City Dachshunds.

We’ve always been family breeders, not revolving breeders. Our mamas are our pets first. Each of our girls has had three successful litters, and after that, they retire and are fixed to live out the rest of their lives as spoiled family dogs, just as they deserve.

Over the years, we’ve had 29 puppies, 27 of which were live and are now settled into their forever homes, spoiled and thriving. That’s something we’re incredibly proud of.

I will be creating a Secret City Dachshunds family group so we can all stay connected. This will be a place for families to share updates, post their babies, ask questions, or just chat.

I also want to address the unanswered inquiries. I know some of you reached out and didn’t hear back. I sincerely apologize for that. I was going back and forth on whether we would continue or close, and it was not an easy decision, it was a long, emotional process.

Lastly, thank you. Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way but an even bigger thank you to the families who trusted us with our babies. That means more than I can put into words.

These nuggies are getting so big!!! 7 weeks tomorrow!! Everyone starts to go home next week!! Eeeep!

First shot day!!! Babies get to go outside for first time this evening! 🥰 stand by for pictures!

They’re all getting so big! 6 & 8 week appointments have been made!! 3 more weeks until these sweet babies start going home!!!

We’re 4 weeks old! Half way til they start going home! Here are some highlights!

•first bath
•teeth are breaking through!
•all are walking!
•ears and eyes are fully open, and responsive!
•personalities are blooming!
•started to wrestle one another
•Mama is slowly weening = puppy mush!
•time to introduce toys!

-please forgive my lack of pictures, we’re renovating to sell/move while still working our full time jobs. Our nights and weekends are consumed!! Luckily we’re about done with all the renos so, updates should come more frequently!
