It is with deep sorrow that I must announce Sojourn Academy will be closing at the conclusion of this 2017-2018 school year.

IT'S ON!!!! Walk-A-Thon Day is finally here! Walk, Play, have a splash-fun day, now that we have raised a total of $22,427.34. MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!

Sojourn Academy/Kiwanis Club Success! Money was raised, and we got to introduce ourselves to many community neighbors. It is so good to share a little bit about ourselves to people in our community while rendering to them a valuable service! It is a blessing to bless!

February Preview Night - 2.22.18 @ 7 PM

Sojourn Academy represented our area with great distinction last Friday when the students of our Beta Club chapter attended the state Beta Club convention in Grapevine, TX and came home with a large number of wins.

The National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. It is an organization that promotes the development of both academic and community service excellencies in youths from 4th grade to 12th grade. Beta Club is responsible for developing leadership in youths and awarding scholarships for college.

Sojourn Academy is a small community school. We sent 12 of our students to the convention to compete with 1500 other students from Beta Club chapters from across the state of Texas. Our student came home with the following wins:

Math Competition, Division 1: 1st Place
Science Competition, Division 2: 2nd Place
Language Arts Competition, Division 1: 1st Place
Language Arts Competition, Division 2: 1st Place
Ad Campaign (Collaboration), Division 1: 3rd Place
Photography Black & White, Division 1: 1st Place
Photography Color, Division 1: 1st Place
Fabric Art, Division 1: 3rd Place

Our school typically goes to the state convention and we usually do very well, but this year was truly phenomenal. We are so excited at these great wins. It provides further affirmation of the high quality education we provide in all subjects here at the school, but maybe even more so, the wonderful kids that come here from our surrounding neighborhoods.

If you know a student that might be interested in coming to our school, we have a preview night next week. All are welcome to come see our students demonstrate some of the wonderful knowledge they gain from a classical Christian education.
