Catching up on posts. RESCUE RIDE for 7. There was nothing even slightly entertaining about this transport. The dogs were terrified. They were just surrendered still collars & tags on them which is never a thing by the time I get them. They wernt small dogs either so patience & high caution when handling them. Not many pictures cause I just needed to be focused. I went through 5 slip leads with 1 dog cause she would bite through it in fear. At all times 2/3 on her. They wernt trying to be mean but a scared dog will do whatever they need to do at times. All were finally loaded & they were absolutely silent for the ride. They were owner surrenders brought straight to the shelter…12 in all. Their collars & tags were filthy but one thing I noticed was a charm on them. St Francis patron Saint of animals. I’m Catholic so it meant something to me. These dogs were loved. They may not have been in the best environment, but we never know somebody’s situation and how their life changed to cause this. We are not here to judge. I did ask more about them from an ACO and the situation itself is just sad. I will not repeat. I already have St Francis charms hanging in my van & these will join them. Prayers sent for these babies. They will need time to decompress & feel safe . Live happy lives 🩵

RESCUE RIDE for 1 pretty lady! There were other passengers I’m just posting per rescue. I was just about to head out & I got a WAIT!!! Could you fit 1 more large for Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus & make a 3rd stop? I just happened to have 1 more large crate still open…let’s do this 😉 She’s a sweet girl & was a perfect passenger. Live a happy life baby 🩵

RESCUE RIDE for 6! Everybody get in & get along!
1- cutie patootie was pretty scared but such a brave little girl to keep moving forward with getting in the van.
2- Yorkie mix buddies were confident, happy & friendly. Can’t wait to see their spa day
3, 4 & 5- all came in together & pretty much acted the same way too. They were manageable, no bitey bites just very timid. Another brave group of babies allowing you to do what you need to despite their concerns. You’re all going to be ok. Live happy lives babies 🩵

RESCUE RIDE for one very special girl. This is Georgia and her papa unexpectedly passed way. She was a friends dog. Georgia was much loved as you can see in her wobble that she is severely overweight. No judgement please. They think she’s about 6yrs old. She’s a happy girl that loves her toys & treats. New owner definitely needs to help her with her addiction. Thank you to Border Tails Rescue for saying yes when I came to them with her situation. I know you are missing your papa & probably confused but you are going to be ok. Someone needs a Georgia in their life go get her. Live a happy life baby 🩵

RESCUE RIDE for 1 sweet baby! There were other passengers but I’ll post per rescue. You can see it on her beautiful face. She’s in pain. This little sweetheart has a broken leg. She does not put weight on it & when standing it just folds under her. Thanks to German Shepherd Rescue, Inc for saying yes! I dropped her straight off at the vet & a game plan is already set. Blossom is only 4 months old & could use some prayers. Live a happy life baby 🩵

3- this guy was quiet & reserved. Looks like he’s been through it. He is scabbed up & bones showing. Only good things to come now. Live happy lives babies 🩵

RESCUE RIDE for 2 sweet seniors! I’m obsessed with both of these dogs. They were owner surrenders dropped off to be euthanized…he’s 14 yrs old…she’s 16 yrs old. Both had a pep in their step. While I was putting him in a small top crate she took it upon herself to jump into the large open crate next to me (pictured) She’s smaller than she looks in the picture. Little sweethearts tail kept going 🩵 Him with his giant eyes and adorable ears. I’m sure he needs some teeth removed cause I think they were hanging in there by prayers & Jesus. Live happy lives babies 🩵

RESCUE RIDE for 4! All of these babies were pretty scared…all were also owner surrenders. The 3 terriers came in together. 2 scruffies 1 smooth. Very cute little ones. Then maybe spaniel mix? Pretty scared also. Ya can’t blame them. You’re going to be ok babies. Live happy lives 🩵
