Finish this deck up last week. We got it all trimmed out with a full picture frame finish on the deck surface.

All white trim with lattice to keep pets and small animals out from under

All aluminum rails

You can see the new French door we installed with the new hardware to top it all off.

Got called over to take a look at a deck that bounced like a trampoline and a spongy feeling floor as you walk inside.
We noticed the deck joists and the subfloor were rotted. Inside, the only thing from keeping from falling to the basement was the laminate flooring

As soon as we removed the flooring the subfloor was soft enough we could push a #2 pencil through it. The old door had been rotten for years and had been letting any and all weather through to the wood below

- We cut and replaced the subfloor
- Bathroom had leaking valves so while we had everything apart for the flooring replacement, we re plumbed the area while the home owner painted and the old bathroom got a face lift.
- Cut out the door
- Added flashing and insulation since there was never any to begin with
- Replaced with a steel French door
- Added PVC trim so help future proof and sealed it around the edges
- We then finished the floor with our supply of LVP and trimmed it up.
- Tore out the deck and found the bay window had rotted as well so we tore it off and replaced
- now we’re just about finished with framing.

More to come soon.

Here are a few before, during and afters.

We had a request to tear out the carpet and trim from a seemingly unsafe stair case. The previous owners had a 1” x8” tripping hazard at the top of the stairs along with very wobbly stair rail. We tore it all out and started from scratch with new oak treads and risers. New thicker stair newel and rails and metal balusters to match. There were special order parts we had to make work but We have enjoyed the challenge of lining everything up and making it smooth.

There’s a lot of pictures but it’s quite a process. We even had to take out the entire entryway flooring and trim just to be able to make the floor re line up where the old tripping hazard was since there was no floor under.

Few weeks back we pulled out an old fireplace. Removed the drywall and added built in coaxle, power cables and Ethernet cables behind the now cement board so that we could get a wireless look compared to wires hanging everywhere and visible.
We started by fishing wires below and through the existing walls and managed to not have to open or disrupt any unnecessary drywall
We then had a special order stone shipped in and hand built this mantel so that it could hold up against the larger surround sound bar.
We were able to line everything up and make it seemless and are now tearing out the stairs and re doing the rails so that it all matches within the house.

Before, after and during photos of the latest bathroom. - We gutted the bathroom, removed old soffits that took up a lot of space
- Added insulation
- Re framed the wall to match the current wall
- Cut open roof for vent since the old exhaust vent was just dumping moisture into the attic
- Re routed the wiring from the soffits,
- Cut out the old plumbing installed new plumbing with shut off valves directly under
- Made custom niches for the recessed medicine cabinet and shower,
- All new drywall, finishing and painting.
- Waterproofed the shower and niche and tiled
- Cement boarding for floor with new tile

It’s been a heck of a process but it came together nicely
