O'Fallon Fire Department is organized to provide a highly trained, rapid response fire rescue service Clair Townships.
Since 1891 the O’Fallon Fire Department has been providing protection to the citizens of O’Fallon and the surrounding areas including the Village of Shiloh and the rural areas of the O'Fallon, Shiloh Valley, Caseyville, and St. This 44 square mile district is covered by 4 stations, 45 dedicated and highly trained volunteers, and 17 pieces of apparatus. At the Village Board Meeting in Shiloh, a Life Saving Award was presented to O’Fallon-Shiloh Firefighter and Village of Shiloh Public Works employee Jaydon York. This award was presented by Chief Rich Wittenauer of the Shiloh Police Department, Chief Brad White of the O’Fallon Fire Department, and Mayor Bob Weilmuenster of the Village of Shiloh.
On Friday, May 22, 2026 York demonstrated exceptional initiative and a deep sense of duty. Firefighter York’s proactive actions, sound judgement, intimate knowledge of local geography, and unwavering commitment to service directly led to the safe recovery of a vulnerable child in a potentially life-threatening situation. His conduct on this night reflects the highest standards of the O’Fallon Fire Department and that of the collective Shiloh and O’Fallon First Responder Team.

We had the cutest Mayor for the Day, Bella! Our crew showed Bella all the tools on the truck, showed her how to use the water extinguisher, put her up in the bucket on the ladder truck and gave her a ride around town. She was a joy!
