Why was the S&P up today (or down), where will energy stocks be tomorrow, or where’s the market heading next month?
We don’t know.
No one knows.
What we DO know is that the market represents the collective human sentiment as to how companies are expected to create and distribute future value.
Over the long term, creative people working at innovative companies tend to solve interesting problems.
That's usually a good thing.
Long-term investing is inherently optimistic. We do so believing in a better and more prosperous future.
It's that same optimism that pushes capital toward innovation, which in turn, drives that more prosperous future.

serve > sell
chill > chase
Ditching the desire to look wealthy is usually the first step in building actual wealth, funny how that works.
If you let others decide when you’re successful, you’re also letting them decide when you’re not. Take ownership over what success looks like for You. Maybe that means more family time, or clearing the mind and calendar. You get to decide.
Funny thing about economic growth, it feeds off problems yet to be solved.
Value creation happens when interesting problems are solved by innovative companies. Since there are still more problems to solve than companies to solve them, long term growth still looks pretty good. ✌️
Might sound crazy, but what if the worst-case scenarios don't play out?
What if we continue solving interesting problems with our creative energy?
What if we end up prosperous in the long term?
That'd be pretty cool.
Code is cool, but people are way cooler. Efficiency comes with a cost, and when the world seeks hyper-levels of automation, something important can get missed. We can't automate authentic connection. We can't automate caring.
