🎾😊 A reminder we all need sometimes...

Somewhere along the way, many of us started playing pickleball because it was fun.

Not because of our DUPR.
Not because of medals.
Not because of rankings.

Because it made us laugh.
Because it challenged us.
Because it brought us together.
Because we genuinely enjoyed being on the court.

But when we get caught up in winning, improving, or comparing ourselves to others, it’s easy to forget the reason we started.

That’s why some of my favorite cue words aren’t about technique or strategy.

They’re simple reminders to enjoy the experience:

😊 SMILE
🎉 HAVE FUN
☀️ STAY POSITIVE

Ironically, when we stop squeezing the game so tightly and start enjoying it again, we often play better too.

So here’s your reminder today:

Smile after the missed shot.
Have fun with your friends.
Stay positive when things aren’t going your way.

The game will still be there tomorrow. ❤️

👇 Which reminder do you need most right now:
SMILE, HAVE FUN, or STAY POSITIVE?

🎯 Stop reaching. Start reacting.

One of the biggest mistakes I see players make—at every level—is reaching forward for low, dipping balls.

The problem?

When you contact a ball that’s dropping below the net, there’s a lot less you can do with it. Most of the time, your only option is to lift it back up... and that’s exactly what your opponents are hoping for.

Watch the pros and you’ll often see something different:

✅ They create space
✅ They step back when needed
✅ They let the ball bounce
✅ They react from a stronger position

Instead of forcing a difficult volley, they give themselves more time, more options, and a much higher-quality contact point.

That’s why one of my favorite Mission Sticks cue words is:

🔥 STEP BACK & REACT 🔥

A simple reminder that can help you stay patient, make better decisions, and turn defensive situations into neutral ones. Train with it on your edgeguard in practice until the move becomes more automatic!

What’s a situation in pickleball where YOU find yourself reaching instead of resetting?

Let our be your anchor for visualization work. The more neural pathways used the more automatic the mindset, strategy, or skill becomes.

This race car driver combines verbal cues/directions with visualization work so that when it comes time for competition, the racecourse is like second nature to him.

The same applies to your pickleball mindset, skills, and strategy. Train your brain in practice so that when it’s time for competition you can play in your body. The stickers use three neural pathways: visual (see the sticker on your edgeguard), verbal (say it out loud frequently), and visualization (close your eyes and visualize frequently for several seconds being or doing the sticker).

Every training sticker comes with a teaching note, drill suggestions, and visualization suggestions.

This is the edge you are looking for!

was looking for confidence with her serves and her ability to play with 4.0-4.5 players. She doesn’t come from a tennis background, so relies on her athleticism & strength.

She also wanted motivation to put herself in more situations to play with higher level players.

I sent her four —

➡️I Belong Here — to remind her that she belongs on whatever court she gets access to, that she works hard at her game and she belongs because she’s willing to put herself out there.
➡️ Big Targets — to remind her to serve to big targets on the court, especially when nerves are firing.
➡️ Head Down — to train her brain on keeping her head down during her service motion, which will prevent balls in the net.
➡️ My Hands Are Fast — to train her brain on whipping her hands through the service motion to get more power.

With practice using these stickers (along with visualizations of the motion) they will train her brain on using the right technique so that she will have more confidence during competitive play and the skill will become more automatic. 💪

Option 1: You can have a plain, boring name brand paddle cover. 😒 Option 2: You can let your paddle cover inspire you EVERY time you step on court. 🔥 (boots are optional)

Which one will you choose?

We’ve got 5 double-sided options for you to choose from.

Think you can read the speed up before it happens? 👀🔥

In this drill, I’m mixing d***s and attacks… but there’s a subtle giveaway sometimes when I speed the ball up.

The question is:

👉 Can YOU spot it before I pull the trigger?

Watch closely. 👀 What do you think it is?

Ever feel like you’re always reaching, late, or off balance? 👀

Today’s MISSION STICKS lesson was simple:

👉 “GET TO THE LINE”

Not the ball.
Not the shot.
The LINE.

The moment my student focused on forward momentum on the right balls, instead of admiring the shot, everything changed.

Sometimes one cue word/phrase is all it takes to unlock better movement and a better advantage on the court.

Train YOUR brain with our simple reminders that actually transfer to performance under pressure 💥

One of the biggest mistakes intermediate players make:

👉 trying to do too much when they’re pulled out wide.

When you’re off balance or out of position, the goal isn’t to win the point immediately.

It’s to NEUTRALIZE the rally.

For this player, we trained one simple cue word:

NEUTRALIZE

Meaning:
✔ reset the point
✔ do less with the ball
✔ buy time to recover and create less openings on the court

Simple cue words help players make better decisions in the moment—without overthinking.

Train it in rec.
Trust it in games.
