Pakala Construction

Alex recently joined Pakala Construction, bringing a background in business, technology, operations, and healthcare consulting to help develop systems and processes that keep the company running smoothly.

While construction is a new industry for him, he's enjoyed getting to work alongside the Pakala team and contribute to the way projects and operations come together.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jess, and their four kids—camping, biking, reading, cooking, and baking. As an avid reader, one of his favorite projects at home has been designing and building custom bookshelves.

We're excited to have him as part of the Pakala team!

From the ground up.

What started as a cleared site is now taking shape as a custom home. It’s always rewarding to look back at where a project started and see how far it’s come.

Still in progress, but the vision is becoming a reality.

This custom studio was designed so the homeowners could play music and record podcasts without disturbing the rest of the house.

From the soundproofing details to the custom desk and acoustic treatments, every element was carefully considered to make the space both functional and inviting. We were proud to help bring this unique space to life.

This space started as a home theater and billiards room and was transformed into a custom sound studio designed for music, podcasts, and recording.

A project like this takes more than a change in finishes. The room was carefully planned around sound, function, and how the homeowners wanted to use the space.

A pretty incredible transformation and one we were proud to help bring to life.

Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

Today, we're celebrating the hard work, craftsmanship, and dedication that goes into building something great.

Wishing our team, trade partners, clients, and their families a safe and relaxing Labor Day!

The best homes aren't defined by one show-stopping room.

They're made up of thoughtfully designed spaces—big and small—that work together to create a home that feels complete. Today, we're celebrating a few of those often-overlooked spaces or corners.

Doing it right often means thinking several steps ahead.

For this project, we chose LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) in areas where straightness and consistency were especially important. With detailed finishes like flush baseboards, starting with straighter framing helps create a cleaner foundation for the finish carpentry that follows.

It's a small decision early in the process that can make a difference throughout the build—helping our finish carpenters work more efficiently, reducing adjustments, and keeping the finished details as precise as possible.

Good building is about making the right decisions early, so the details come together the way they should.
