Don't feel bad Starbuck's, we've got the role of a traditional coffeehouse in Novi covered. You can take all of the drive thru "gas station" business, & people yearning for an actual traditional coffeehouse will come to us!

Well, we got you covered! We just sent Porky on a 12-15 hour journey, & should have fresh Cubans tomorrow! (the sandwiches, not the ci**rs)

Our very good friend Ray M. (Former DPD sergeant & current firefighter) works with a local security company, & is looking for some energetic & interested applicants for security jobs in Wixom/Novi area, 5-11pm shift, $20/hour. Espresso Machine is back up & running!!

Quick update on our espresso machine: it experienced a blown wiring harness following a power surge on Friday late afternoon (after techs gone for the day ofc); the tech diagnosed it 1st thing Monday & ordered a replacement, which arrived late today. We are hoping he can install it 1st thing tomorrow 🙏🤞

Can we make it up to you with some new menu items? Two savory, one sweet

1. Argentine Empanadas de Carne with chimichurri sauce. These are EXCELLENT & very filling.

2. Tequenos Venezolanos, basically tasty cheese sticks, served with salsa rosada (a ketchup/mayo sauce), these are a smaller item but also quite filling & are a quick pick-me-up.

3. Chocolate-filled croissants.

We picked up pork, & are going to slow-roast it for our signature Cubano sandwiches, & will be making fresh batches of quesito's!

We are supporting Eagle Scout Daniel Hughes* & the Mulberry Acres Parrot Rescue near Brighton, by supplying our delicious, fresh, store-roasted, BIRD FRIENDLY coffee as a fundraiser to build brand-new outdoor aviaries for the shelter!

Daniel helped us roast & bag coffee today for his first event, the Bird Expo at the K of C Hall on Ryan Road in Warren. He's working to identify additional events/locations, including our coffeehouse. Stay tuned, maybe we can bring some of the parrots by!

* Daniel Hughes is an Eagle Scout who's the son of long-time family friends. They have tropical birds (like we do) & we've bird-sat for them a couple of times.

He is one merit badge away from collecting ALL of the badges (which we understand is a rare feat). His latest project is working with a newer parrot rescue near Brighton to build outdoor aviaries for the birds... GREAT project, so we put our heads together to figure out how we can help.
