Bubbie’s Bakery LLC – Our Story

Bubbie’s Bakery was founded by entrepreneur and hobbyist pastry chef Keith Glenn, inspired by his grandmother, Sara Cohen. Born in Warsaw, Poland in 1922. Sara and her family fled during the German invasion. They relocated their lives in Toronto Canada before finally settling in Detroit, MI. All the while carrying their Ashkenazi Jewish traditions with them.

One of the first recipes she passed down to Keith was her cherished Mandel Bread. They would make it as often as felt necessary, side-by-side. This eastern European delicacy taught him the importance of preserving family traditions—and he created Bubbie’s Bakery to honor her legacy.
