Our Buckelew Su***de Prevention Program team is tackling the rise in su***de and mental health challenges through outreach efforts like this. Promoting the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline and tabling at high-traffic community events to share information about mental health resources available. The next Community Resource Clinic is coming up on August 25 from 3 pm - 4:30 pm. This bilingual in-person resource is for those in need of help accessing community services for yourself or a loved one.

🤠 The 38th Annual Marin Senior Fair “Not My First Rodeo: Saddle Up for a Better Future” rides into town on September 16 for Northern California’s largest and longest-running senior information event with over 150 Exhibit Booths about everything from wellness to technology. A crisis doesn’t end when the call does. For many who reach out to 988, the days and weeks that follow are just as critical as the moment they picked up the phone. That’s where Buckelew’s Follow-Up Team steps in.

As a 988 call center, we provide free follow-up calls within 24-72 hours of an initial crisis contact. These check-ins happens with the consent and confidentiality of the caller to revisit plans and make any necessary adjustments, resource connections, and community referrals. Each follow-up is a chance to remind someone that they’re not navigating this moment alone.

988 is available 24/7 by chat, text, or phone for any level of distress. Share this information, it may save a life.
