We are a community, and in times of distress, we can only survive if we band together and support each other. This community is no stranger to trying times. From rolling blackouts, to devastating fires, and now to a pandemic, we have time and time again banded together to support our town, our neighbors, and our small businesses.

Our small businesses, and the local families that own them, are depending on everyone to continue to make the extra effort, to go out of our way, to patronize and support them. We are now seven months into this pandemic...with winter coming. We are all tired, and many are dealing with devastating implications from this pandemic or the recent fire, but we cannot get complacent or our towns are going to look very different come Spring.

Helping our local small businesses, not only helps our neighbors keep their business open and employees with jobs, it is also a way to reinvest in our town.

Did you know that $68 of every $100 spent at a local independent store is reinvested in the community?

Or that 92% of all small business owners personally donate to local charities and non-profit organizations, like boosters, Boys and Girls club, many school fundraisers, and other local community events?

How can you help? Buy local, shop local, dine local, use local banks or credit unions, try to maintain monthly memberships with gyms, wine clubs, and other businesses. Consider sponsoring someone who is struggling, or dropping them a gift certificate to a local business.
