Our next free, drop-in clinic for low-income pet parents in Marin will be on Saturday, October 10 at Marin Health and Human Services.

Bring your canine companion or feline friend to our mobile clinic at 3250 Kerner Blvd., San Rafael, from 11:00am- 12:30pm to get:

*Free vaccinations (DA2PP, FVRCP, rabies)!
*Free microchipping!
*Free pet food and supplies!

Marin Humane Pet Safety Net brinda ayuda con atención veterinaria, vacunas, alimentos nutritivos y otros servicios a las mascotas de los residentes de Marin que enfrentan dificultades financieras. ⭐SPECIAL FOSTERS NEEDED!⭐

We have more than a dozen kittens recovering from ringworm who would love some cozy foster homes where they can hang out while they finish their treatment.

If this is your first time hearing about it, allow us to reassure you: ringworm isn't a worm at all! It's simply a common skin fungus (a bit like athlete's foot) that's very manageable. Caring for a ringworm kitten is straightforward; they just need a quick daily dose of oral medication and gentle medicated baths a couple times a week.

Ringworm can spread to humans and other pets, BUT it only takes a few smart habits to prevent that:
🧤 Wear disposable gloves when handling them
🧹 Maintain a clean, easy-to-sanitize environment
🚪 Keep the kittens in a separate room (a spare bathroom works great!)

We love our shelter but it's no place for a growing kitten to spend weeks recovering. By opening your heart and home, you give them the space they need to thrive! We'll equip you with every bit of medicine, food, supplies, and guidance to set you up for total success.

On Saturday, August 29, guinea pig enthusiasts of all ages are invited to join us for a day celebrating our favorite little creatures! And while the costume contest may be the most beloved activity, you can also enjoy a veggie eating contest, a raffle (with prizes for piggie owners and non-piggie owners alike), a bake sale, cool swag, delicious food from Tommy's Salsa, and lots more.

Things are looking cute for this weekend's mobile adoption event! Hopalong will have all these pups at the Novato Woodlands Pet Food & Treats on Saturday, August 22, 12 - 3pm. (Including little Hilda, named for Hilda Gutierrez of NBC Bay Area in honor of Clear the Shelters!)

Our mobile adoption events are first come, first served, so we recommend coming early; the sign-in sheet opens one hour before the event.

Hooray! 15-year-old Coco found her forever home! We're always thrilled when our senior cats get the appreciation they deserve.

We still have more senior kitties waiting for a fresh start at forever:

💗Squeaky is 12 years old, loves purring away in a warm lap, and wants to be the only cat in her new home.

💗Lito is 12 year old, still enjoys chasing a wand toy when the mood strikes her, and will reward a good petting session with a little happy drooling!

Meet Mia, a 7-year-old gentle giant with a stunning sable coat and a heart as big as her 97-pound frame. A German Shepherd and Rottweiler mix, Mia can be a little shy when meeting new friends, but once she warms up, her loyal, deeply affectionate personality truly shines. She thrives in relaxed settings and asks for little more than quiet companionship and warm cuddle sessions.

Mia tends to be cautious around her fellow canines, so she’d like to be the only dog in her new home. (A dog-savvy cat would probably be okay.) We think she’ll be able to make some doggy pals in the future with careful introductions.
