An environment where all can feel safe, valued, cared for and given an opportunity to form meaningful connections with each other. We cherish the diversity of God created humanity; a diversity which includes differences in s*x, age, race, ethnicity, national origin, range of abilities, s*xual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective. These beliefs and practices apply to all of the activities of our congregation; they inform all of our decisions.

We’re excited to welcome Rev. Shavon Walker to The Quest this Sunday, June 28!
Rev. Shavon is the Minister of Social Media for the Evergreen Association of American Baptists (Evergreen Association of American Baptist Churches). She received her calling in faith and service at a young age and earned degrees from the University of the Pacific and Cal State East Bay before attaining a Master’s in Divinity from the Berkeley School of Theology.
Pastor Walker is committed to social justice and is a strong advocate for inclusivity and equality.
She’ll be preaching the second message in our POP GOD summer series entitled “Pride: Identity, God’s Son, and Moana.” Please join us!

Today we honor Juneteenth, the day news of emancipation finally reached enslaved people in Texas, more than two years after freedom had legally been declared.
We celebrate the resilience, faith, courage, and contributions of Black Americans. We also remember that freedom delayed is freedom denied.
As followers of Jesus, we believe that truth matters, liberation matters, and every person bears the image of God.
May we continue the work of building communities where freedom, dignity, and belonging are not just ideals, but realities for all.
