Looking northwest over Belvedere and Tiburon—where land meets the bay in elegant curves. Fog lingers on the distant ridgelines like a memory that won’t quite fade. A quiet, suspended moment above the North Bay.

2000’ over the endless Pacific, the Marin coast disappears into a sea of shifting clouds — waves of fog rolling into the abyss, glowing in the last light of sunset. 🌊☁️✨

Soaring high above the Pacific in my Piper Cherokee, looking east across the full sweep of San Francisco. Golden Gate Park stretches like a green ribbon through the heart of the city, framed by the Sunset and Richmond. The downtown skyline rises in the distance, while the familiar grid of neighborhoods—Haight, Mission, Castro, Twin Peaks—spill toward the Bay. A rare, clear-day view of the City by the Bay in all its layered beauty.

Golden light kissed the cliffs of Double Point, carving shadows along the wild edge of Point Reyes. From 2,000 feet in the Piper Cherokee, the coastline stretched timeless and untamed—one of those California moments that feels like it could last forever. Captured with my Fuji X100F on a crystal-clear late afternoon.

Golden Gate Park from above—where the Dead first cast their spell and the Summer of Love took root. 60 years on, the music still drifts through the trees. Flying over this sacred ground in honor of Dead & Company’s return this August, closing the circle where it all began. 🌹☮️✈️
