Today is and Equip would be grateful if you considered us as the beneficiary of your generosity. We have been privileged to provide many great initiatives and support for members of our community this past year. We couldn’t do it without our giving partners. Thank you for helping us do more.

Equip once again partnered with College of Marin to help feed Thanksgiving dinner to some of their low income students. Last year we had the privilege to serve 35 families and this year we were able to serve over 50. Our goal for 2022 is 100!

Thank you to all our volunteers, especially Chef Dara Mulligan and from who made this possible.

Huge shout out to for their generous donation, for the food, for the pies and for the rolls!

Have a safe and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday.

Thank you to all who joined us today for our women’s sound healing event. Each woman in attendance brought in a donation for Equip. It was a beautiful morning of connection and health. Please consider supporting our generous partners. We look forward to hosting more events in the future. Stay tuned.

Thank you to everyone who nominated a teacher who stepped up and met the moment! We had 20 nominations and could only select 1 from elementary, middle, and high school, but we were so inspired by the nominees that we decided to award the others a $50 cash prize as a gesture of our gratitude. Thank you to all of our amazing teachers! We appreciate you.

Congratulations to Novato High Spanish teacher, Karen Maass. Ms. Maass is Equip’s $1000 MEET THE MOMENT High School Teacher award winner.

Nominated by one of her students, Karen was recognized because she wanted to see everyone succeed to the best of their ability. She put in the time to build a relationship with each student to get to know them, to find ways to keep them motivated and engaged in learning. She checked in with students to ask them about their mental and physical health during this time. She made sure they knew that her care for their well being went way beyond the classroom.

Students said that her classes were less focused on grades and more about where the possibility of learning could take you and inspired her students to learn other languages, engage with other cultures and pursue travel.

Thank you for inspiring your students and continuing to invest in their academic needs while also fostering human connection.
