Next Tuesday, June 16, 2026, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is hosting a free Introduction to the Trades event in Hartford. This event is designed for individuals interested in learning about careers in the skilled trades and how to apply for apprenticeship programs.
Participants will hear directly from trade unions and industry professionals about:
Apprenticeship opportunities
Wages and benefits
Career pathways
Working conditions
How to apply for an apprenticeship
Featured organizations include:
Building Trades Training Institute
