🌼Congratulations to Backus nurse Jane Straut, RN, on receiving a prestigious DAISY Award for extraordinary nursing care! 🌼

For years, Jane has brought comfort to patients through a simple but meaningful tradition: folding origami cranes for every patient she prepares an IV, a small gesture of comfort and connection. Over the years, she has created thousands of these cranes, each one representing the deeply personal touch she brings to patient care.

As she prepares to retire this August after 35 years of service, we celebrate her unwaivered compassion that has made a lasting impact on our patients, families and colleagues.
