Honoring a Legacy of Service: Happy Birthday, Lillian Carter ✨❤️
Today, we celebrate the life of Lillian Carter, an extraordinary woman whose commitment to service touched communities around the world. Lillian spent much of her life caring for others, whether as a nurse, a housemother to university students, or a Peace Corps Volunteer.
From 1966 to 1968, Lillian served in India, working as a nurse. Her dedication to improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations left a lasting impact. To honor her legacy, Emory University established the Lillian Carter Center for International Nursing, continuing her mission to improve health worldwide.
