Let's meet our student teller for this year-- Callie Harper!
See Callie in person or virtually, this Saturday, November 1st at 7:00pm at the United Church of Rowayton. There's still time to get your tickets or request the live-stream link at [email protected]!
Callie is a 9th grader at Stamford High School who grew up surrounded by stories—literally! With two storyteller parents, it was only a matter of time before she tried it herself. In her spare time, you might find her on the mat with the school wrestling team, sketching something creative in an omnipresent sketchbook, texting with her friends or her favorite person (her sibling, now at college), or snuggling her cats, Fina and Milo.

Meet another of our tellers-- Laconia Therrio! See him and all of our other tellers LIVE: Saturday, November 1st at 7:00 PM at the United Church of Rowayton! Tickets are available for $15 by visiting: https://www.connstorycenter.org/tellabration.htm
Laconia is a much beloved teller in the Fairfield County area and across the state. He remembers loving words since he was 4 years old; challenging his mother to find the most difficult word in the dictionary at age 5. His mother found the word "archaeopteryx." He missed the first "e," but on the second try he got it. Often he could be found under the table reading at his "Aunt Dot's" house when visiting with his mother, Dolores. JG Pinkerton, the founder of Tellabration!, encouraged him to consider telling stories --- and life has never been the same! He has been a youth minister, a therapist; and now he serves as a chaplain at Stamford Hospital and faculty member of the Stamford Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program as the Behavioral Science Director.

Meet our first teller-- ChaChanna Simpson!
Hear ChaChanna live at Rowayton Tellabration! Saturday November 1st at 7 PM at the United Church of Rowayton. Tickets are on sale now for $15 at https://www.connstorycenter.org/tellabration.htm
ChaChanna Simpson is a storyteller, writer, and performer who brings humor and heart to everything she does. Whether she’s on stage or on screen, she turns everyday moments into stories that make you laugh, nod, and maybe even tear up a little.
As the creator of ChaChanna Writes, she shares stories on her YouTube channel and at live shows, mixing warmth and wit to remind folks they’re not alone in this wild ride called life. Her stories—part reflection, part comedy, part “did that really happen?”—celebrate the messy, magical, totally relatable parts of being human.
She curates and hosts Storytelling Sundays at The Westport Library, a bi-monthly open mic that welcomes storytellers of walks of life. She’s also performed on stages across the Northeast, where her quick humor and playful presence keep audiences leaning in.
A proud member of Northeast Storytelling (NEST), the Connecticut Storytelling Center, and Ubuntu Storytellers, ChaChanna keeps growing her craft one story at a time. When she’s not writing or performing, she’s probably reading romantasy, learning chess or planning her next travel adventure.
