We are so excited to share some news with you all! LAS Directions will be branching out into a new market and taking on a feature film animation. We can’t share much, but just know some exciting things are in the works. That said, we still will be serving the CT/NY area, so please don’t hesitate to contact us for remote film + editing bookings.
Also…. we were thinking about sharing some ‘day in the life of a film editor’ stories and posts, but first want to gauge if there’s any interest in something like that. Comment below or send us a DM to let us know your thoughts. We’d really love to hear from you!

When writing the script for this, it was super important to figure out a theme. The theme, inspired by none other than the athletically talented bunch of UB Women’s Basketball players, was the driving force for this hype video…

So glad to have joined (virtually) the event this past weekend. Heard from a ton of well respected editors in the industry, enjoyed intimate convos in the breakout rooms, and now have a ton of mental and written notes to pour through in the coming days to be sure to put them all into practice.
Hoping to join in person next year but until then, here are a few stills to show what this amazing experience was like (of course in good editor fashion, I was working while listening) lol!

It seems close to impossible to faithfully convey these weighty words of Christ, and yet, the way in which they were quoted at the Norwalk Police Department’s memorial for fallen officers, was so very timely. Fallen officers from the towns of Norwalk, Darien and Stamford, Connecticut were honored and remembered for their life and service to their communities.

We received a message from Scrat Tales director Drew Winey to lend some editorial help on a neat NFT launch video. We hopped on a call, were joined by fellow Blue Sky Lead Animators/Supervisors Jeff Gabor and Matt Doble and hashed out the details. Within minutes, we were ready to commit to this quick turn around edit, and within a week, we had a rough layout assembled.
The creative vision from Drew, Jeff and Matt were unmatched as we collectively worked to shape this video in the cut. If you aren't ready to eat a banana by the time it ends, you may need to re-watch! Enjoy! ;)
