Friday: The Day of Suffering (Good Friday)

* The Journey: The betrayal, the trial, the scourging, and the crucifixion. Jesus dies on the cross, crying out, "It is finished."

* Living as a Believer: Meditate on the cost of your salvation. This is a day of mourning, but also of deep gratitude for the substitutionary sacrifice of Christ.

* Action: Observe a time of silence between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM (the hours Jesus hung on the cross).
Reflect on Isaiah 53.

A Prayer For Good Friday! 🌿

Jesus,

I grieve that the torture and sorrow You endured on the cross were necessary to save humanity.

You didn’t want us enslaved to the lies of fear, anxiety, or sin—so You sacrificed Yourself so that Truth could win.

“It is finished” was a cry of victory, because You defeated everything that held us in captivity.

Because of Your sacrifice, I can experience new life. Thank You!

Show me how to stay rooted in Your Truth, and use me to reach the world You died to set free.

Amen! 🙏🏻

Why is love the supreme quality? 💜

1. Because God's essence is love.

The Bible says, "God is love" (1 John 4:8).

In other words, love is God's very nature and the essence that best reveals His being.

2. Faith and Hope Are Completed in Love

Faith truly exerts its power when it works through love (Galatians 5:6).

Hope, too, ultimately looks forward to the perfect eternal life realized in God's love.

3. Because Love Endures Eternally 🌈

Faith is no longer needed when we see God face to face, and hope ends when the promise is fulfilled.

However, love endures eternally, even in heaven.

This is because love is the eternal bond that binds us to God and to each other. 💕

👉 Faith is the power to hold on to God,

Hope is the power to wait for the kingdom of God,

and love is the essence of living a life that resembles God.

Of these, love is the greatest because it never fades and most perfectly reveals God Himself.

🌿 Today’s Meditation – Romans 8:28

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

This verse does not mean that everything is good.

There is pain, failure, and things we do not understand.

But God promises that He can bring all these things together for good.

There is also a condition:
✔ Those who love God
✔ Those who are called according to His purpose

This means that for those who trust and love Him,
God is working behind the scenes, even when we cannot see it.

Are you facing something you do not understand right now?

It may look like scattered puzzle pieces,
but in God’s hands, the picture is already coming together.

Today, let us confess:

“Lord, I may not understand everything right now,
but I trust that You are working for good.

Please use every part of my life to accomplish Your good purpose. Amen.” 🙏

The Attitude of the Believer During Lent! 💒

Having understood the theological significance of Lent, we must now make concrete changes in our daily lives.

I propose four practical attitudes for believers to adopt during this season.

Deepening the Word and Prayer:

Beyond simply reading the Bible, Lent requires time to deeply meditate on the Passion narratives in the Gospels.

We must continue the spiritual discipline of quieting our inner turmoil by going into our rooms at designated times to listen to God's subtle voice.

Fasting and Abstinence in the Modern Sense:

While traditional food fasting is significant, today's world calls for a "media fast," which distracts our souls.

We must resolve to reduce smartphone, social media, and OTT viewing, and fill that time with communion with God or silence.

Practicing Love and Sharing:

Piety should not be confined to internal cultivation but should flow into love for our neighbors.

The true spirit of Lent is to use the time and money saved through abstinence to help the marginalized, the sick, and the suffering.

As the verse says, "This is the fast I choose: it looses the bonds of wickedness..." (Isaiah 58:6), we must practice justice and love.

Restoring the Center of Worship:

Lent is a time to rebuild the broken altar of worship.

We must strive to live as Christians every moment, not just during Sunday worship, but so that our weekday lives themselves become holy, living sacrifices pleasing to God.

It's true that coffee is highly addictive.

Furthermore, drinking too much can sometimes lead to irritability.

However, coffee has amazing effects on your body from head to toe.

And they're incredibly positive and powerful.

Let's take a fascinating look at the effects a cup of coffee has on your body with this infographic. Insight has compiled and supplemented information recently featured in the online media Prevention.

* Life is a Cup of Coffee

At first, it was too hot to drink,
but it cooled down quickly!

Life is like that.

Passion is the best time.

Once it cools, it's too late!

Coffee, warm, has higher antioxidant benefits than cold coffee.

Living life in the present moment
is living well.

By the time we know love,
love changes,
by the time we know our parents,
our parents are sick,
by the time we know ourselves,
we've lost many things.

We can't catch the flowing river,
or the passing of time.

Everything changes and passes too quickly.

We always have to let go and gain something.

So, let's do our best while we have it.

Being able to greet each other every day
is a blessing. ~.~

Learning new things is fun! 🥰🫠🤗

Learning new things is important even as you age.
If you don't learn, your brain function can decline, your memory can weaken, and your risk of dementia can increase.

However, if you continue to learn, you can keep your brain healthy!

Problems that arise when you don't learn! 😅

Brain function declines – Your brain becomes duller without new challenges.

Memory and concentration decline – You become more likely to forget medications or where you put things.

Increased risk of dementia – People with a learning habit have a lower risk of dementia.

Decreased enjoyment of life – Learning new things increases your sense of accomplishment and joy.

Easy Ways to Get Started! 🥰

Daily small challenges – Take a walk along a new path, read a different book.

Take up a new hobby – Learn something you're interested in, like painting, a musical instrument, or cooking.

Learn digital devices – Use your smartphone, YouTube, or KakaoTalk.

Learn together – Participate in programs at cultural centers or community centers.

Age is just a number! 😍

Start today and learn something, even if it's just a small thing.

As you accumulate learning, your brain becomes younger and you can maintain a healthy life. 💖

What will we learn today? 🤗

[The Greatest Invitation to Love: John 3:16] 🌈

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

1. You are a precious being born to be loved (God)

We are not accidental beings born by chance.

The God who created you deeply loves you just as you are.

He is a warm lover who does not ignore the pain of our lives, but also a just being who hates the evil that destroys us.

2. The Journey to Find the Lost 'Self' (Humanity)

The emptiness and anxiety that cannot be filled no matter how hard we live are, in fact, caused by a loss of connection with God, the source of life.

The Bible calls this "sin,"

and because of this, humanity has lost true rest and purpose.

3. The Price Paid for You (Jesus Christ)

God loved us so much that He chose to pay the price for all our sins.

The death of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, on the cross is the most powerful proof of His love for you. By rising again, He became our new hope.

4. Now Reach Out (Faith)

Salvation is not a prize earned through effort, but a free gift from God.

The only way to receive this gift is through faith.

The moment you trust in Jesus, who loves you, as the Lord of your life and opens your heart, a new life begins.

5. An Eternal Celebration Beginning Today (Eternal Life)

Eternal life is not a distant land you can only reach after death.

It is a life where you walk with God from today onward and enjoy a peace the world cannot give.

This eternal life, which even death cannot end, will make your present meaningful and fill your future with confidence.

6. A Spiritual Family to Walk Together (Church)

Faith isn't something to endure alone.

The church is a warm, welcoming haven where those who share the same love gather to encourage one another and grow together.

Your place has already been prepared.

Shall we walk together?

"God is waiting for you.
Your life can now become more beautiful." 🌈

Week 1: Hope Awaiting the Light!

Reflection:

As Advent begins, we are reminded that hope is more than wishful thinking-it is a confident expectation rooted in God's faithfulness.

In a world that often feels dark and uncertain, the light of Christ breaks through, promising a future that is secure in Him.

This week, let us pause to remember that God's promises are true.

The long-awaited Messiah has come, and He will come again.

We wait in hope, not passively, but with hearts prepared and eyes lifted toward the horizon.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to live with hopeful anticipation.

Even when the world feels uncertain, remind me that You are always at work, bringing light into darkness. 🙏🏻
