Was happy to receive the certificate from the Surgical Review Committee, “Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery” and “Surgeon of Excellence in Robotic Surgery” (affiliated to Northridge Hospital).
A proud moment was when the hospital got the accreditation as the Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery. As the medical director of robotic surgery, I/We could not have achieved this without the hard work and commitment from the entire OR leadership and staff and most importantly the support from the hospital administration. ✨

✨ Happy to announce that I successfully completed the Emory Executive Education, Chief Medical Officer [CMO] Certification Course from Emory Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, Georgia. This was a 10 month online program that culminated in a two-day, in person event at the University. It was a rough 10 months, juggling between work,on-calls and the online courses and trying to submit weekly assignments on time (which I rarely did 😁). I met some amazing faculty and professionals, who, like me, wanted to improve their leadership skills. The course included the 18 week core program and two electives which were six weeks each. (1. Innovations in Healthcare: A Strategic Approach, and 2. Executive Decision-Making for Healthcare Leaders). 🎉

Also wanted you all to see the new robot (for those who haven’t had a chance). It has now been 12 years since I started doing surgeries with the robot. Not sure if any other Kodava general surgeon did robotic surgery back in 2009! (May be I’m the first Kodava Robotic Surgeon 🤪)
