Introducing P.J Vizmanos!

P.J joined IXLA at the start of 2025. They are a project manager, motion designer, and the motion guru at IXLA.

For fun they run, fish, and watch the NBA.

P.J’s dream creative goal would be to help make work that explains difficult subjects so they’re visually easier to comprehend. They find themselves being fulfilled when the videos they make are able to help people.

Introducing Quinn Mendoza! 

Quinn joined IXLA in March 2025. They are a communication designer and illustrator.

They enjoy spending their time playing video games. They like to play games like Minecraft and Risk of Rain 2 with friends and to play story heavy games by themselves. Quinn also wants to read more books this year and currently have 5 books they plan to finish this year.

Quinn’s future goal is to  get into paid design work within the next 2 years.

Introducing Jeyde Mitchell!

Jeyde joined IXLA in May 2025. He’s primarily a communication designer, but is exploring other avenues such as editing and illustration.

His hobbies consist of skateboarding, gaming, watching anime, and sometimes, almost bearable rap freestyle.

Jeyde’s future goal as a designer is to combine their passion for gaming and creating to acquire a job at a gaming company that offers exploration and growth.

Introducing Katy Escalante!

She joined IXLA in the beginning of Fall 2025. She’s a designer here at IXLA!

She enjoys gaming across different consoles and love exploring different worlds and experiences through play. As a first generation college student and the first person in her family to pursue a creative field, her journey in design means so much more than just a career path.

Her goal is to use her design knowledge to create identities and visuals that bring someone’s vision or dream to life.

Riley joined IXLA in December 2024. They are a communication designer and illustrator.

Introducing Esther Guzman!

Esther joined IXLA in Summer 2025. They are an illustrator and designer!

They always drawing in their free time. A lot of their work is inspired by comic books, maximalist design aesthetics, and collage artworks. They also love to listen to music, and enjoy watching animated films

Esther’s future goal is to work in advertising design and in the entertainment industry as an art director. They hope to create illustration work for various communication media. As a creative, they want to bring bold and unconventional visuals to my work as a way to engage new audiences

Introducing Sarah Macfarlane!

Sarah joined IXLA in May 2025. They are an illustrator, designer, and now a project manager for the IXLA social media!

They love video games! In fact, they are a pc gamer. They have a huge collection of anime figures and physical media (vkei, rock, and goth music).

Sarah’s future goal is to work in the gaming or anime industry for packaging, working on promo, and helping create their visual style! After they graduate, they plan on going to Japan as a vacation to explore how design is implemented in their pop culture.
