Ready to rock and roll here at Sumter Speedway for the SCDRA race. Had an overall good night last night but the results don’t show it. Spencer Whisnant was consistent all night last night until qualifying when a slower car held him up. John got faster every time he went in the track. After time trials last night Spencer went 27th fastest out of 36 cars and John went 28th. Round two of qualifying will be here in a few with b-mains and the a-main to follow later on tonight.

Huge thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters for helping us to be here this wee.

Just not our night. After breaking a transmission in qualifying John wasn’t able to start the feature race. We thrashed on Spencer Whisnant’s car from when he pulled off after qualifying until he went out for the feature trying to solve the cutting out problem. We thought we had it fixed and after going from 9th to 3rd on the start it made one lap and started cutting out again and ended up cutting off causing a DNF. Not the results we were hoping for but we will get if figured out and have a rocket here soon enough.

Once again, huge thank you to everyone who supports us in our passion for racing. Without you guys none of this would be possible.

Not a great night so far here in front of the hometown crowd at Modoc Speedway. John broke the transmission in hotlap qualifying before making a lap ending his night. Spencer Whisnant made half a lap before it started skipping. Found two broke wires and we are hopeful that fixed the skipping problem. Feature will be here in a few and will update afterwards.

Ready to go here for day 2 at North Georgia Speedway for the SCDRA Shamrock Showdown.

Spencer Whisnant is behind the wheel of his JFS Trucking #9 Acura Integra and John Whisnant is behind the wheel of his Mark Bunch Racing #71 Honda civic.

We had practice and round one qualifying last night. Both cars were having fuel issues during qualifying resulting in Spencer qualifying 32nd and John qualifying 33rd out of 50 cars. We believe to have both cars fuel issues resolved and will try again here in round 2 of qualifying this afternoon.

Huge thanks to everyone that has helped us make it to this event. Without y’all we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.

Modoc Speedway Update: Spencer Whisnant was able to qualify 5th with no power steering on his new car which is where he would roll off for the main. Was able to finish where he started securing a top 5 finish in the new car. Once we get him some power steering he’ll be ready to rip around every track we go to.

John managed to qualify 4th and started 4th in the main, ran 2nd/3rd for the first 5 or 6 laps until he developed a fuel leak. Even with the minor fuel leak he was able to ride around the bottom and secure a 6th place finish. All in all not a bad night for us.

Next up will be North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Ga for $5,000 to win in the SCDRA series race. Hope to see y’all there.

Once again thank you to each and everyone one of our fans and supporters who have helped us make it this far. Without yall none of this would be possible.

Well last night was eventful to say the least. Arrived at Penton Raceway for the SCDRA compact world championship. Started the night out with Spencer Whisnant going 31st fastest and John Whisnant going 34th fastest in hotlaps out of 65 cars. Qualifying came next with John qualifying 42nd and Spencer qualifying 53rd. Heat races came around with John in the 3rd heat and Spencer in the 4th. John stated 8th in his heat and made it up to around 4th/5th before ultimately coming home in 6th with them only taking the top 3. He should roll off 5th in the first B-Main tonight.
Now onto the eventful part. Spencer rolled off 10th for his heat race and was running with the pack waiting to make a move when the right front blew off the bead and sent him up and over. He rolled in the air about 3 times after the initial roll on the ground and the the final roll when it landed totaling around 5 complete rotations. He was uninjured. All of his safety equipment worked perfectly leaving him just sore and spirits down. Huge thank you to everyone that has reached out to check on him. Not exactly sure what will be next for him as we figure out a car for him to run for the remainder of the year. If you would like to help out just reach out to us, any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
