Our team, gathered in front of the office on the day we celebrated 20 years in business. Later that afternoon, we were honored to share lunch with some of the influential people who helped launch our journey. A milestone worth remembering!

The 3-Gun Test Kit is designed to maintain and improve the security of federal buildings, courthouses, correctional facilities, public buildings, and any other secure facility. It is particularly effective for testing operator alertness and training new operators. Each test piece is cast in durable resin to minimize any safety concerns when conducting covert testing.

Inside the case are three test objects labeled as NA-22/TKC0052 (NAA-.22 revolver), DA/TKC0138 (Derringer Model 95), and BR/TKC0511 (similar to the Beretta Jetfire 950). These test objects allow for the configuration and testing of MOST metal detectors, allowing you to determine a machine setting that will detect your most dangerous threat.

There are no bullets included in this kit. It is considered a training or test piece and as such is not labeled as “INERT”.

Each training device represents a type of commonly concealed weapon and is visually and X-ray correct, responding in checkpoint cabinet X-rays and full-body screening systems authentically to real threat items. These items are also correct for training and testing in metal detectors. This level of accuracy is not found anywhere else.

For nearly 20 years, DSA Detection has manufactured and distributed its own brand of DHS-approved explosive trace detection consumables used in the operation and maintenance of most ETD instruments commercially available. DSA’s consumables are developed and manufactured in clean-room like conditions, have the longest shelf life, and incorporate innovative, user-friendly features. All products critical to trace levels of detection have been approved by the DHS - Transportation Security Laboratory. Currently in use at TSA airports and security checkpoints worldwide.

This X-ray and metal detector test piece is designed to effectively represent a NAA .22LR. While this item is sold as a single item, it can be broken down to represent a disassembled NAA .22LR.

Both the frame and cylinder have been machined to exacting standards to precisely match the metal detector signature and appearance in an X-ray machine of an actual NAA .22LR.

The size of the test piece accurately reflects the size of a real NAA .22LR and elicits alarms when the real firearm would in both the X-ray and in the metal detector.

Designed and manufactured in New England, we believe this is the only NAA .22LR test piece engineered for use in both X-rays and metal detectors.

Accurate: mmWave, Portable X-Ray, Backscatter, Computed Tomography (CT), Single and Multiple X-Ray Generator Systems

The Blasting Cap Test Kit contains various blasting caps and initiation devices, providing accurate examples of commercial, military, and improvised (homemade) versions. Some of the blasting caps are electronically shunted, while others do not have electrical continuity—helpful when incorporating blasting caps into functioning IED circuitry.

Also included in the kit are two modified electric blasting caps, complete with LED indicators that illuminate when functioning. Both the electric and non-electric blasting caps in this kit are completely inert and accurate when viewed in person or on an X-ray/CT scanner. All DSA blasting caps are made with industry-standard, 24AWG wire when possible. Other wire gauges are available by request.

Each simulated explosive initiator in this kit is density, Zeff, and X-ray/CT correct to replicate the real threats with which they are associated.

The Aviation Security Inspector Training Kit is designed to be an accurate representation of a variety of threats likely to enter security checkpoints around the globe. Inside the provided carrying case are various types of high and low explosives, blasting caps, circuit assemblies, and other training items. As with all DSA simulants, these items are density, Zeff, and CT/X-ray correct to the real threats with which they are associated. This kit was designed to replace the original FAA Air Cargo Inspector Kit.
