life lately: family, friends, hair, with a sprinkle of fun drinks here and there ✨

This correction was soooo so good today 🔥

GOAL: babylights, lowlights, and grey coverage. We needed to cancel out all of the orange/yellow.

PROCESS: fullllll foil. Almost 2 hours of foiling to be exact. Biggest game changer was tip outs and dragging her tint between down low enough to cover the orange at her mid section and marry the two together! Washed, brushed, and applied her grey coverage on wet hair and toned her ends.

From black lowlights to a soft warm blonde ✨🪞☁️🫶🏻

CONSULTATION: At her consult, I saw multiple areas that we needed to address. Salt and pepper roots, artificial black lowlights, a green hue of blonde on the ends. Turns out she was using blue shampoo in hopes of brightening up the blonde so I had her discontinue that 2 weeks prior to her color correction service so we could start on a clean slate!

DAY OF CORRECTION: We went through and picked out every. single. black. lowlight. Processed low and slow to savor the integrity of her hair. I noticed the mids were a smidge too dark still so I added a highlift color to that area to lift and tone (shoutout to my coworker Shelby for the idea!) After we rinsed, we went ahead and blowdried. Added her grey coverage root but didn’t love the result so we shifted the plan and added a different formula later on. I last minute decided to add a little more warmth back in with an alkaline toner. Haircut to finish everything off, adding layers and face framing pieces for movement!
