Enjoying an Oklahoma January day with temps in the 70’s. Love this photo of a few of our tribe - notice how all the retrievers are sitting patiently, the Cardigan is anxiously awaiting instruction on who to herd and can’t keep her butt down then you have a Saluki (sighthound) that is doing what she wants when she wants because, well that’s Saluki attitude.

Nail trims are essential for your dogs. It doesn’t have to be a dreaded chore. As you can see here with Grace (German Shorthair Pointer), she standing calmly letting Brooke work on her nails. We use a dremel with a diamond tool head that helps not heat up the nail as it’s grinding down. Many of our dogs are true working dogs and we will keep a longer length on their nails because if you watch them they are using those nails for high speed activities, other breeds we keep shorter. Some dogs keep their toes so short they don’t need them done. Thank you to all of our owners like Grace’s mom - Katy Maxwell for training their pups at a young age that toenail trims are not a bad thing in this world. Nail trims once a week for maintenance is recommended.

This past weekend our personal dogs added more performance titles to their résumé’s. Piggee, our Curly Coated Retriever is now “Farm Dog Certified” and a “Canine Good Citizen”. Blake, our Saluki earned his “Temperment Test”. Not only are our dogs well bred representations of their breeds but they are smart too. Thank you to our friend Stephanie for taking Piggee through her testing and as always Blake’s new title with earned with his human Brooke.

Our show crew spent 2 weeks in Texas for dog shows - two of our dogs earned new show titles - lots of grand championship and championship points. Now our crew gets time off to enjoy the summer. The fall schedule is taking shape, so send us a message for more information.

Brooke had fun with past weekend at the Oklahoma Summer Classic earning performance titles on Kira (Saluki) and Wednesday (Cardigan Welsh Corgi). Both girls earned their Canine Good Citizen and Novice Trick Dog titles. Pretty and Smart!

This past weekend our show crew was at the Oklahoma Summer Classic Dog Show - the states largest AKC event.
