Current MM Opera soprano Gabrielle Salomon and incoming MM Opera baritone Ben Bassett are performing at Brevard Music Center in Asheville, North Carolina this summer! Boomer!

Join us on our journey across the globe as we ask "Where in the world is OU Opera?" First up, we feature current MM Opera tenor Nick Hausman, recent MM Opera grad and soprano Carol Jarrett, alum soprano Julia Pace and voice faculty member Lorraine Ernest, who are all showing their Sooner stuff at Opera in the Ozarks in Eureka Springs! Boomer!

OU Opera is excited to announce our 2026-27 season! Join us in December for a Christmas-themed Die Fledermaus set in 1940s Hollywood with a brand new English script written especially for this production! And then in March, you don't want to miss the modern world staged premiere and US premiere of Il re pastore, written in 1756 by Maria Teresa Agnesi! The cast lists are up, and we are thrilled to bring you another exciting season!

Our opera scenes concert is tonight!!

Our final pair of opera scenes are by modern day composers, Luisa Matthynssens and Mason Bates, who explore different methods of incorporating the theme of ‘technology’ into their works. We are also incredibly excited to have Luisa with us in the audience tonight!🤩🤩🤩
