Thank you to everyone in the community who came out to the Labor Day parade today! Solidarity is our strength ✊
Today I celebrated Labor Day with my fellow union members, representing BCTGM Local 342.
Local labor is the foundation of our local economy. If elected as your Normal Town Council representative, I will advocate for strong project labor agreements, and a requirement that all government-subsidized projects hire local labor.
Happy Labor Day✊🇺🇸

Very disappointed that this policy almost made it through today unnoticed. This would be detrimental to small businesses across the community. There is enough isolation in today’s world as it is. We don’t need local officials legislating how we talk and work with our neighbors. Thank you to the folks raising hell on short notice to get this off the agenda (for now).

A Normal Township Board of Trustees representative has entered the race for Normal Town Council. Details in the comments.
“Despair cannot be an option. It can be felt but it cannot be the only option.”
I echo my colleague Mark Adams II’s words here. No matter how dire things get, there are many great people in our community and beyond who are working tirelessly day in and day out to make someone’s life a little better. To house one person, to feed one family, to clean the trash off one street, means everything.
I am proud to be one part of the Bloomington-Normal Community Land Trust, and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this organization.
