Welcome to the Official HSC-84 page - YOUR page. OPSEC is a constant concern.
This page has been set up for you and your families to share our legacy, pertinent information and squadron pictures. The command will use this page to pass timely information such as base closures or delays or promotion board results. We also want to share promotion, reenlistment and award photos for Red Wolf families that might not have been able to be present at the ceremonies. As with any good

Redwolves,
Passing along a message we received from Mrs. Lindsay Kennedy, wife of Redwolf pilot Robert Ballard. If you have the means to donate, please do!
*****************
Good evening. My husband was a Redwolf from 2012 to 2015.
3 years ago on August 19 Rob Ballard saved his life and a Saudi Arabian Flight Students in a Class A Mishap.
When we first moved back stateside to FL in January 2021, I had high hopes to keep the Pace, FL home for 10 years, but life, and today we are happy to say we are settling in Chesapeake, VA, and where eventually we will have a dedicated Gary Sinise Foundation home.
The Gary Sinise Foundation is doing so much amazing work for our nation's Vets, First Responders, and Gold Star families.. We would love to know the folks and organizations on our bricks and pavers if you would like to donate to our forever home in anyway please consider, and help spread the word:
We can't think of a better way to honor Rob on his 3 year alive anniversary, after all our motto is now You Only Live Once or Twice!

Red Wolves,
Outstanding news! HH-60H 163787, better known as Red Wolf 202, arrived at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida today, 13 January 2024. The aircraft will be restored to display condition over the next several months, unsure of the time table for display.
Initially accepted by the Firehawks of HCS-5 in 1989, 163787 served with HCS-4, HCS-5, HSC-84, and a brief stint with VX-1 in 1992. The aircraft has 980 hours of combat time in Iraq and performed 17,710 landings (including two mishaps).
Now interned at the National Naval Aviation Museum, the aircraft will serve as a memorial to all those who served with the Red Wolves and Firehawks, spanning 30 years of dedicated CSAR and Special Operations support.

10 December 2012: Red Wolf HH-60H deployed to United Arab Emirates (CENTCOM) as part of Special Operations Command Crisis Response Element (SOCCRE) conducts overwater training with the worlds tallest building Burj Khalifa and the Dubai skyline in the background.
The aircraft has large intake filters fitted (Engine Inlet Barrier Filters or EIBF) to prevent desert sand from eroding delicate internal components.
