Tabla VA is a percussion interest group with a focus on tabla (Indian Classical). We hope to present major tabla artists to audiences in Hampton Roads, VA.
We hope to present major tabla artists to audiences in Hampton Roads, VA and to bring greater awareness to the many shades of beauty inherent in the the art of playing tabla. In addition to concerts, we will host master classes, meet regularly to share compositions, and present our own tabla recitals.
This group will post the best and most instructional tabla videos on the web. Videos will have brief summaries describing the playing as well as why they were chosen.
