Drop-off point to replace public recycling program With the decision to reduce the number of public recycling bins by more than 60 in the coming months, Norfolkans and those beyond city limits will soon need to say
With the discontinuing of the bin program there have been a lot of questions being asked. Here are a few questions that have been asked and the answers.
Question: Will there be a bin at the plant location?
Answer: We will have the bin located on the West side of the office. Please remember we take BROKEN DOWN cardboard, paper, newspapers, and magazines. Please NO trash, plastic, aluminum, or nothing contaminated with food.
Question: Other options to recycle if you cannot drive to the plant. Answer: Please check with your local garbage company.
ATTENTION:
After many years of working together, we are sadly announcing that we are DISCONTINUING THE GREENFIBER COMMUNITY RECYCLE PROGRAM. The cost of the collection program isn’t sustainable due to rising transportation costs and changes in the type of recycled material collected in the program. The shift in fiber streams was exasperated by Covid and new purchasing patterns resulting in significant changes to our feedstock and product impacts. The result of this shift has resulted in substantially higher transportation costs and other challenges to the program overall.
We will be collecting bins over the next few weeks and will work with you to help provide other options for your recycling to help minimize the impact on your organization. We will continue to offer the ability to bring material to our location, that we will then utilize in our operation.
Thank you for your support over the years.

Fits & Giggles Daycare took a trip to watch the recycling truck, and learn more about our company. Touching the insulation and pumping the arms to make the driver honk the horn, was the highlight of the day for them. It was an honor to share our history of the company with these little friends of ours.
