Nail trim day for this girl. ❤️
After seeing one of my videos of my daycare dogs and my pups performing the “wait” command, a client and I had a discussion about the verbal cues that I use the most with the dogs. After “Wait”, the “Place” command is the next most used command around here. I use the words “Go to your bed” instead of “Place”. Verbiage doesn’t matter as long as your dog understands the action associated with the verbal cue. I like to teach commands that are actually going to be useful in the real world and this is one of those. Even if a dog has never gone through training with me; if they attend daycare regularly here, they will learn this command.
How I get to the door without being run over by a mob of dogs 😭 Every dog that comes to me for daycare learns this command. If they already know it, it gets reinforced here daily. ❤️
She HATES her feet being touched! 🤣 You can imagine what nail trims are like around here. 😭
