Hi all. It's been a while since I've updated. I've had so much going on in my life! This time frame covers a 3 week period. My family suffered what felt like a tragedy. My son-in-law abandoned the family on November 5th, so that was quite an adjustment for us mentally, emotionally, and financially. I was left holding the bag; holding everything together....

This is all the art I've been up to these last 12 days. I made collages, oil pastel drawings, sharpie drawings, and mixed media paintings in response to therapy. Possible trigger warning due to content: The therapy sessions focused on addressing my military sexual trauma using a CBT approach (cognitive behavioral therapy.) Since the therapist focuses on thoughts versus feelings I've been following up the sessions with my own artwork to help express and process my feelings more....

These are all the art pieces I made from September 13-23, 2024. Mostly, I just made decorative papers, including gel prints. There was only 2 artworks in this batch which did not fall in to the "decorative paper" or "collage fodder" category which is the rain one I made on 9/20/24 and the small textured mandala I made on 9/21/24 with crackle paste....

Hello all! I've been busy making art! What's new? I'm always making art! I discovered a new strategy that I want to try to hopefully keep me from getting so behind here at WordPress: posting art first, writing about it later, and posting more frequently. The problem is not that I'm not creating; the problem is documenting my work at multiple places and figuring out how to brainstorm so that I'm not getting behind in my posting....
