Sin separates us from God, and we are to reject it entirely! We must separate ourselves from worldly activities that can cause us to step away from the path of righteousness. We must also separate ourselves from people and lifestyles that lead us into temptation. We will keep our focus on Jesus, walking close to Him so that we are not pulled away into a life of sin. We will turn to scripture and seek guidance from the Holy Spirit when confronted with temptation.

Wednesday night Bible study has been great. Currently we are in experiencing God workbooks and study videos. Definitely worth it.

Remember: the world system is controlled and manipulated by satan. He has people enamored to accept what the world says. The world is designed to attract us, promising fame or fortune, pleasures and leads us subtly away from our relationship with the Lord. The world motivates us to want worldly things; best cars, fancy jewelry, expensive clothing, material items and draws us away from our Lord and Savior. The pull of the "world" has caused so many people to just "not care" about spirituality and not care about the Lord.
As Christians, we are set apart from the world.
We need to keep our minds prepared for action. It's easy to lose sight of the hope we have in the return of Jesus. ( Hope being something we confidently expect to happen)
We need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus,.. God's will first, then our obedience. Conduct our lives in reverent respect. Live as strangers to this world as we are just passing through. Remember to fear God is to have a reverent healthy respect for God's authority.
We need to focus our minds on Christ. Take a few moments each day to remember how our Lord has freed us from the slavery of sin. This will have us in the world, not of the world.
