Saturday poured back into me in a way my soul truly needed đź’ś

Domestic Violence was never part of my plan…but it was part of God’s purpose for my life. In the beginning, I carrie guilt, shame, fear, and emotions I didn’t even have the words for. But look at me now- walking in healing, strength, and resilience that only comes from doing the work and trusting the joy.

Over 10 years ago, I found hope by listening to T’Sharin. And today, I stand on the other side- being the same light for others. Providing hope. Sharing resources. Offering a safe space and a listening ear. Empowering through my truth.

This is what transformation looks like.
This is what purpose feels like.

I amd HER….
Hope. Empowerment. Resilience. đź’śđź’«đź’śđź’«

I know it’s been a while since I’ve been active on here, but the end of 2025 changed me in ways I’m still learning to understand.
In November, I underwent a surgical procedure.

In December, I buried my father. Grief, healing, changes in my health, and transitions at work all met me at the same time. I had to step back and choose ME.

Am I fully headed? No.
Am I exactly where I desire to be? Not yet
But I am nowhere near where I use to be.

As I continue picking up the pieces and embracing new vision, one thing remains certain: I will always turn my pain into purpose.

Many of you know my story because you know me. Some of you have heard me speak. Some have read my testimony on different platforms. And for those who don’t know- I survived domestic violence.

What should have been my ending became a divine beginning. For 10 years, I’ve been using my voice - the very voice that almost got silenced on 03/24/2012. The enemy had a plan, but God had another one.

Now without exposing everything, I’m extending an invitation.

There is still time to grab your tickets to H.E.R. Testimony Luncheon on Saturday March 14, 2026. I’ll be sharing the room with powerful women who have walked through dark, traumatic sessions and chose to evolve instead of remain broken.

Come hear stories of Hope.
Come feel Empowered.
Come witness Resilience.

Location, time, and ticket details are on the flyer. I would love to see familiar faces- and meet new ones ready to be inspired.

Healing is not linear..but it is possible. đź’ś

Day 8 đź’ś

The Silent Wounds đź’ś

Not every bruise is visible.
Not every scar can be seen.
Some pain hides behind the brightest smiles and
the strongest hearts.
Emotional and psychological abuse leaves wounds that don’t always heal with time. Words that tears you down, isolation from loved ones, constant blame, these are forms of abuse too.
If you ever questioned your work because of someone’s manipulation, control, or cruelty- please know this: You are not crazy. You are not overreacting. You are not alone.

Day 7 đź’ś

Breaking the Silence đź’ś

Silence can feel safe, until it starts to suffocate you. But the truth is, silence protects the abuser, the victim.
Every time we share our stories, we help another survivor find their voice. Every time we speak up, we chip away at the stigma. And every time we choose courage over silence, we give power back to ourselves.
If you’ve still finding your voice, take your time. When you’re ready, know that your story matters. And when you do speak the world will listen.

Day 6 đź’ś

You Are Not Alone đź’ś

Every day, millions silently endure abuse, physical, emotional, verbal, or financial. But here’s the truth: you are not alone, and your story matters.
Domestic violence thrives in silence. Together, we can break that silence and create space for healing, justice, and support.

If you are in a situation that feels unsafe or confusing, trust your instincts. There is help. There is hope.

Day 5: Breaking the Silence đź’ś

Silence keeps abuse alive. Far too many suffer quietly, afraid of not being believed, being judged, or losing everything they know. But every time someone speaks up, they chip away at the silence, and give someone else the courage to do the same.
Today is about using your voice- whether it’s sharing your story, offering support, or simply saying, “I see you. You’re not alone.”
Let’s remind survivors that their voices matter, their stories matter, and their healing matters.

Day 4: The Cycle of Abuse đź’ś

Understanding the cycle of abuse helps us see why leaving isn’t always easy, and why healing takes time.

The cycle often follows four stages:
1. Tension Building- arguments, criticism, or walking on eggshells.
2. Incident- verbal, emotional, or physical abuse occurs.
3. Reconciliation- apologies, excuses, or promises to change.
4. Calm- a temporary “honeymoon “ phase before tension builds again.

This pattern can make survivors feel trapped, holding onto hope during calm periods, only to face pain again.

Day 3: Why Do They Stay ?

One of the most common and misunderstood questions about domestic violence is: Why don’t they leave ?

The truth is, leaving isn’t always simple for safe. Survivors often face a complex web of emotional, financial, social, and physical barriers that make it difficult to walk away. Here are just a few reasons why someone might stay:
đź”’ Fear: Abusers often threaten harm- to the survivor, children, pets, themselves, if the survivor tries to leave.
đź’” Isolation: Many victims are cut off from friends, family, and support systems, making it feel like they have nowhere to turn.
đź’´ Financial Dependence: Survivors may not have access to money, a job, or housing, making independence seems impossible.
🧠: Manipulation & Gaslighting: Abusers break down a victim’s self-worth over time, making them feel like they can’t survive on their own or that the abuse is their fault.
🙏🏾: Hope for Change: Love and loyalty can be powerful. Many survivors stay hoping the abuser will change, especially when there are children involved.
💡: Instead of asking “Why don’t they leave?” let’s start asking: How can I support them in finding safety?💜

Day 2: Red Flags đźš©- Early Warning Signs of Abuse.

Domestic violence doesn’t usually start with a slap or a punch. It often begins subtly, with behaviors that are easy to overlook or explain away.
Here are some early warning signs that a relationship may be unhealthy or abusive:

đźš© Constand t jealousy or possessiveness
đźš© Isolating you from your friends and family
đźš© Controlling where you go, who you talk to, or what you wear
đźš© Love bombing- overwhelming you with attention, gifts, or pressure to commit quickly
đźš© Monitoring your phone, email, or social media
đźš© Making you feel guilty for setting boundaries
đźš© Dismissing your opinion or feelings
đźš© Explosive temper or mood swings
đźš© Joking that feels more like humiliation
đźš© Blaming you for their actions

These behaviors might not seem dangerous at first, but they can grow into patterns of control, fear, and abuse.
