Did you know female donkeys are called Jennets or Jennys and males are Jacks. They are not stubborn, just cautious of things they are not sure of. They can live 30+ years. They remember people, places and things!

He’s settling in finally. Getting him here was interesting. He was not thrilled. Then he had his hoofs trimmed AND his teeth/tusks “trimmed”!!
Sooo, not too happy with me but I’m happy he’s here!!

Tried a new vendor for merchandise!! Whatcha think?? We only have a few t-shirts left and one or two sweatshirts!! I placed an order for grey T-shirts (trying a different color) and zip up hoodies! These are available when ya donate to the rescue!! We also still have a few of the front logo T-shirts 😃

Holy Moly! Whatta morning!! Sooo, the last couple of days DeeDee eye was a little “weepy”. It’s been really windy here so I thought maybe she got dust or something in her eye. No worries, clean her face and kept her eye mask on. Well, this morning there is alot of pus and her eye was cloudy! Oh Noooooo, call the Vet and yes they know me by name😳. Two hours later… she has an ulcer on her cornea. Pain meds given and antibiotics. She will be okay
Sorry it’s long…and it’s “breezy” out here, audio is icky. RIP Bruce 💔. After two farriers, and under veterinarian care, lots of pain medication, we couldn’t let you be in constant pain
