Are you afraid of being rejected? Of losing a friendship? Of being labeled intolerant, judgmental, or unloving? Remember this ↓
"Fear will always magnify the opinions of others, convincing us that standing for truth is too high a price to pay. But faith reminds us that the people whose opinions seem so large today are only part of a passing moment, while the God who calls us to obedience reigns forever.
Hold the line. It may feel like everyone else has crossed it, but this you can know: God is for you. He will sustain you through every fear, tear, and trial until you walk before Him in the light of life."
—Katie Laitkep
Standing for biblical truth in our culture can feel increasingly costly. In today's article, "Hold the Line: Fear and Faithfulness in an Age of Social Pressure," Katie Laitkep reminds us from Psalm 56 that faith is stronger than fear.

“Satan is no match for God. God says, “I will be exalted.”
Your problems are no match for God.
Your prodigal teen is no match for God.
You are no match for God.
The complacency in your church is no match for God.
The contention in your family is no match for God.
The frustrations and evils in your workplace are no match for God.
Your addicted friend who can’t seem to get free from sinful bo***ges, that is no match for God.
There is no bo***ge, no power, no force, no evil, no pressure, no problem that is any match for God.”
—Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth
Psalm 46 reminds us that even when the earth gives way, the nations rage, and our hearts are tempted to fear, God remains on His throne.
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10)
The outcome is not in question. God will be exalted. His kingdom will stand. His purposes will prevail.
So when the storms feel overwhelming, remember:
“The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” (Psalm 46:11)

Truths to hold onto from Psalm 46 💙
This chapter of the Psalms reminds us that even when the earth gives way and the waters roar, God remains our refuge and strength.
God is at work even through the “desolations” of life. The circumstances we would never choose, the battles we didn’t ask for, and the storms we don’t understand are never outside His sovereign care.
As Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth reminds us, “The God who sits on the throne in heaven is in complete control of what transpires on earth. The events happening on earth—no matter how frightening and devastating—are neither haphazard or random. They are ordered by the One seated on His throne.”
Through every storm, every uncertainty, and every raging nation, this truth remains: “The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” What a comfort! Amen?

"As John Wesley lay dying at the age of eighty-seven, a small group of friends gathered around him. He motioned for them to come kneel around him for prayer.
As they finished praying, Wesley tried to speak, but in his weakened condition it was a struggle just to get the words out. So they moved closer, and as they did, John Wesley cried out with one final burst of strength, 'The best of all is, God is with us!'
And then in a final gesture of triumph just before he died, Wesley lifted his arm and repeated the words, 'The best of all is, God is with us!'
The Lord of hosts is with us, the God of Jacob is our fortress. Amen!"
—Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

"Waiting for food to arrive at a restaurant.
Waiting for your plane to take off or for your luggage to arrive.
Waiting in traffic.
Waiting to hear about a job.
Waiting for test results.
Because we do it so often, we don’t need any help in waiting. We are all experts at that. But we do need help waiting well. I doubt many (if any) of us would claim to have mastered that elusive skill.
Waiting isn’t unique to modern life. Scripture is filled with examples:
Abraham and Sarah waiting for the promised son.
Joseph waiting for his dreams to become reality.
Israel waiting for deliverance from Egypt and later waiting to enter the promised land.
Caleb waiting for his inheritance.
David waiting to become king.
All of Israel waiting for the promised Messiah.
John the Baptist waiting for the appearance of Jesus.
Even Jesus waiting for his ministry to begin.
Certainly, each of these accounts has something to teach us about waiting well. But one of the clearest blueprints is found in Psalm 27."
—Cindy Matson
In our latest article, "Psalm 27: A Blueprint for Waiting Well", Cindy Matson explores how David navigated seasons of uncertainty by anchoring himself in God's truth, pouring out his heart in prayer, and fixing his eyes on eternity.
If you're in a season of waiting, Psalm 27 offers a timely reminder: "Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the LORD."

"God fulfills His promises.
He may not come immediately, but He will come. Sometimes we have to go through the night first before we get to the break of day. The night may seem long, it may seem endless, but we need to remind ourselves (and remind each other) that dawn is ahead. With the dawn of the day will come His supernatural, right-on-time help.
It's not that God is sleeping during the night... It's that in the light of dawn, we can see what we couldn't see during the night, and that is, how He was helping us.
God is working all through the night.
But when it's dark, we can't see what God's doing, and that's why I love that quote by Pastor John Piper, ‘In every situation God is doing a thousand different things that we cannot see and we do not know.’
It may be ‘night’ where you live right now and you think, ‘Nothing's happening, nothing's changing. Is God really working?’ The Scripture says, God will help at dawn, and what I think that's really saying is that at dawn you will see how God has been helping. God is a helper, and He will disperse and dissipate the night."
