As much as we look forward to Cops and Goblins... there's one aspect of the event we always dread: telling everyone that we're all out of tickets.

We have held this event for over a decade now... and the interest grows each year. Through trial and error, we've zeroed in on the amount of tickets we can hand out each year to ensure everyone can get through the treat line before the gates close... and that's about 7,000.

In a city of more than 100,000 people, we know we are going to disappoint more people than we please when it comes to ticket distribution.

In the past, we've released tickets in the late afternoon... and we angered the people who work 2nd shift. On the year we released them on a weekend, we heard complaints from those who work weekends.

We wish we could give a ticket to everyone... but logistically and financially... we cannot. We do max out the tickets at 8 per adult... we did limit the pickup locations this year... but we still ran out in five hours.

The 120+ vendors who have volunteered to host candy tables are spending their own money on candy and decorations. For a two-and-a-half hour event... it's already quite an investment for our vendors to ensure there's enough candy to go around.

This event is free... and always will be... so please understand that we greatly rely on donations and volunteers to pull off this event.

Yesterday, we had the deep honor of remembering and celebrating the life of Kayden with her loving family. Though her time here was far too short, the impact she left is immeasurable.
Kayden’s memory calls us to live with kindness, to choose compassion over judgment, and to lift each other up. Her legacy reminds us of the importance of respecting others, standing against bullying, and reaching out to help those who may be struggling in silence.
We are humbled to have shared this moment with her family, those who loved her, and those who came to support. We carry Kayden’s light forward by honoring her with love and action. May her story continue to inspire us to care deeply for one another and to never take a single heart for granted.
We are truly grateful to her family for allowing us to walk alongside them in this journey of remembrance. Kayden’s legacy will never be forgotten—it lives on in every smile, every hug, and every act of love shared in her name.
