Guys, chipmunks are eating our peas right out of the pod! These peas are delicious, so we get it, but this is ridiculous!

New! Luxury parking lot coming to the self serve stand this season! While we aren’t able to construct a circle drive to accommodate some requests, we hope this will enhance our customer’s vegetable purchasing experience.

Bed prep for carrots!

Today we prepped a 65ft bed for carrots to be seeded in 2 weeks. Here’s our process:

1: Till lightly to get rid of any existing w**ds.
2: Broadfork. This loosens the soil below
the surface to allow the carrots to grow straighter.
3: Remove rocks that the broadfork finds below the surface. (Hopefully one day this step can be omitted.)
4: Rake to smooth the surface for planting.
5: Cover with landscape fabric. This will stay in place for 2 weeks which will allow w**ds to germinate underneath and then die prior to planting, while also warming the soil.

Carrots are one of the most difficult crops to keep w**ded so the extra time spent on covering the bed with w**d fabric is key!

Nice little Saturday today! Started with a brisk flag football game, then got some seeds in the ground and some broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts transplanted. Also, garlic is looking great!

Stay turned for details coming soon on our 2026 summer subscription signup!

Hello friends! Activity is beginning to return after a winter break. Happy to report that our first onion transplants are in the ground! Soon we will be transplanting lettuce and peas, as well as seeding a bed of carrots. Spring is in the air!
