New research from Scouting America and The Harris Poll provides compelling evidence that the benefits of Scouting extend well beyond youth.

In a survey of more than 3,100 adults, Eagle Scouts reported significantly higher levels of enjoyment, gratitude, purpose, optimism, and overall life satisfaction compared to those who never participated in Scouting. They were also less likely to experience loneliness, sadness, and fear, even after accounting for factors such as age, education, and income.

The study also found that Eagle Scouts are more likely to engage in healthy habits, including spending time outdoors, maintaining routines, setting health goals, and following a balanced lifestyle.

Scouting is not just about earning badges or achieving ranks. It's about developing leadership, resilience, character, and a sense of purpose that can positively influence individuals throughout their lives.

Parents,

Don’t forget that tomorrow is Scout Sunday. Please meet us at the church by 10:30 AM. Have your Scouts wear their best uniforms or nice Sunday clothes.

There will be childcare available for younger kids or for when your Scout has had their fill of the service.
