Did you know that every single box that comes in for service we video tape the process of us opening and doing inventory.
If there is any questions of what you or maybe your coworkers sent to us, we can always download and send the tape to you
This process also protects us all if in the event a Insurance claim needs to be filed if something breaks during transit
We literally break the shipping seal on tape and don’t stop until the box is proven to be empty :)

It’s happening i actually don’t believe it
Jeannette Toth and myself are going on vacation from February 14-21 holy smokes miracles do happen LOL
Now what this means to anyone that is worried about sharpening or AGS tools being shipped
Unfortunately SHIPPING will be shut down for those dates as Jeannette does 100% of the shipping. So nothing will be leaving the shop during those dates via mail
SHARPENING, my son Bryan Toth will be in the shop handling all the sharpening needs as well as local pickups and drop offs.
So for one week, things will be slower than normal. No one will be here to answer emails or any texts sent to my phone (My phone will not work as I didn’t purchase the WiFi access).
So please be patient, please don’t think we are ignoring you, please dont go to FB Grooming Groups and say “Hey AGS isn’t ghosting me blah blah blah” we will handle all texts, calls, issues etc etc etc when we return, TRUST ME, the world will not end.

I was asked why after market colored blades guides shouldn’t be used.
The answer I was given by the factory was , they will fail under heat conditions
They were speaking about wide blades, however we can see this one didn’t hold up on a traditional size blade
At Shear Mobility and AGS we believe that only genuine parts are to be used. Yes it might be a bit more costly when you have to have them replaced. However I feel the lack of frustration you will experience will make up for the few penny’s spent to do it right makes up for it in the end :)

At Shear Mobility and AGS when you send your blades in for service, we only use genuine parts on your blades. We NEVER will use aftermarket parts.
Just because you have been doing something for a long time, doesn’t mean you have been doing it right, or were taught correct
Little story from my personal experience
I was having issues with my leather polishing pads flying off my machine, even though I was using a very very expensive heat resistant spray on glue
The young pimple faced high school student working a summer job took the chance and asked me “Sir why do you buy so much of this stuff”
I told him what I was doing and trying to accomplish, and expressed my frustration
Once again this young man that has to be a solid 35 yrs younger than me took the time and the chance to school me
He said “Bet you have never read the directions have you “
Me : NOPE it’s freaking glue
How wrong and closed minded I was (and lazy)
He said : glue both sections of what you’re trying to adhere to, let it sit for 60 -120 secs to let it get sticky then stick together.
Not only did I feel like a dummy, but I haven’t bought a can of that stuff in over a year now. I am forever grateful for that young man. I am also grateful I didn’t have a closed mind and listen to him !
Attention mail order sharpening services
As of January 1st 2025 the USPS will no longer do business with UPS and FedEx.
What this means is, they will no longer allow these providers to deliver to the Post Office
If your planning on using UPS or FedEx you will have to contact me via email or my phone (provided below) for a alternative address until these three companies can get along

Please this is becoming a daily issue with wide blades that have been sharpened by others
If you’re having trouble getting your wide blades sharpened , please reach out and we will make them cut like Brand New again.
Please send all brands all sizes with confidence too www.shearmobility.com without any worries that your blades will come back cutting at peak performance (with proper clippers care)

As your Black Friday shears will start arriving soon, please make sure you have properly fitted gel inserts.
All AGS shears come with gel inserts but the size may not be just right for your fingers
