Recently, the PMIEF Board of Directors gathered in Bozeman, Montana to help shape the future of our mission.

Over three days, Board members from several countries came together to discuss strategy, strengthen governance, and explore new ways to support youth, partners, volunteers, PMI chapters, and the broader PMIEF community.

Thank you to our Board for their continued leadership and commitment to empowering youth through project management!

The future of education is being shaped through conversations happening around the world, and PMIEF is proud to be part of them.

At the Education World Forum, we joined education leaders, ministers, and partners from across the globe to discuss the skills young people need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. One theme stood out: preparing youth for the future requires more than knowledge alone. It requires skills that help them plan, collaborate, adapt, and lead.

That is why PMIEF continues to champion project management as a skill for life.

Creative projects do not just magically happen. They take collaboration, experimentation, flexibility, and yes… project management.

PMIEF is proud to partner with OK Go Sandbox on three new educational resources inspired by A Stone Only Rolls Downhill. These lessons invite students to think creatively, work together, and discover how planning and innovation go hand in hand.

Huge thanks to the incredible educators, creators, and collaborators who helped bring this to life.

At the SkillsUSA Ohio event, students did more than compete. They planned, collaborated, and delivered solutions in real-world scenarios.

Through PMIEF’s partnership with SkillsUSA, project management was integrated into competitions across automotive, construction, and design, helping students strengthen critical skills like communication, time management, and resource planning.

We are honored to be recognized as a SkillsUSA Ohio Partner of the Year alongside Penske and proud to support students as they prepare for successful careers.

DiscoverE, where STEM education meets project management to bring ideas to life. Through this partnership, project management is integrated into initiatives like the Future City High School program, helping students connect planning with real-world problem-solving.

By embedding project management into hands-on learning experiences, students gain the ability to think critically, collaborate effectively, and turn ideas into actionable solutions. These skills strengthen innovation and prepare youth to tackle complex challenges with confidence.

Join us in celebrating the role of project management in shaping the next generation of innovators.

Global Volunteer Month is a time to celebrate the people behind PMIEF’s impact.

Karim Salem has been a dedicated volunteer since 2024, delivering project management training to youth across MENA through INJAZ Al-Arab. His efforts are helping young people build skills for career readiness and future success.

Karim is one of many volunteers who helped PMIEF reach more than 441,000 youth in the region in 2025.

The future of our planet depends on the ideas and actions of today’s youth.

This Earth Day, we celebrate the students working with JA Europe who are using project management to turn environmental challenges into meaningful solutions. With the right skills, they are building confidence, leading projects, and creating impact in their communities.

PMIEF is proud to support this work and the young people shaping a more sustainable world.

Feel inspired to get involved and help expand this impact. https://bit.ly/42laDmv

PMIEF is entering an exciting new chapter.

Over the past several years, we have reached millions of young people annually through our nonprofit partnerships, expanding access to project management skills that build confidence, leadership, and opportunity.

Now, we are refreshing our strategy to meet the moment.

Youth-serving nonprofits are navigating new realities, from evolving funding landscapes to rapid advances in technology and AI, alongside persistent global disparities in education and opportunity. To continue delivering meaningful impact for youth worldwide, PMIEF must evolve as well.

As we look ahead to the next phase of our work, we are gathering input from partners, supporters, and the broader Project Management Institute community.

If you care about youth empowerment, social impact, and the future of education, we value your voice.
