It’s been over a year since Stefanie Damron, a brave 13-year-old from New Sweden, Maine, walked into the woods near her family’s home after an argument on September 23, 2024 — and never returned. Despite tireless searches, extensive investigations, and thousands of acres combed by authorities and volunteers, there still hasn’t been a confirmed trace of her.
Stefanie was last seen wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeve blue shirt, and black Harley-Davidson hiking boots. Described as about 5′0″ with green eyes and shoulder-length brown hair, she would now be 14 years old.
🕵️‍♂️ What We Know & What’s Being Done
🔎 The FBI and Maine State Police continue to lead the investigation — including interviews, ground searches, canvasses, and following up tips across Maine, other states, and even into Canada.
🤝 Law enforcement and community volunteers have covered thousands of acres of rugged terrain, using drones, K-9 units, and search-and-rescue teams.
🎁 A reward of up to $15,000 is offered for information that leads to Stefanie’s safe return or to an arrest in her disappearance.
🕯️ Communities have held vigils and continued sharing her story online and offline to keep her name in the spotlight.

• Some wonder if Stefanie got lost or injured in the dense woods near her home.
